Humpty Dumpty sat on the wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall and broke into pieces.
You wake up in the morning and you are just off, maybe something was worrying you while you were asleep. Or perhaps, you had a bad dream; you didn’t sleep well. The net result is that you are tired and in a bad mood, you simply hate everything and everyone around you.
On the wall – the edge
You set out to go to work and as you start to get into the car, you realize you have a flat, and when you get to change the tire, you remember that you have no spare. Somehow, you get over that hurdle and you are once more on your way to work, in an even worse mood than you were a couple of hours ago.If it is possible the day keeps getting exponentially worse, and it ends up with a fight at home because you are simply in a black mood.
And when at last the day ends, you fervently thank God the day is over, only to be repeated the next time you wake up on the wrong side of the bed, as the saying goes.
Why, we ask ourselves, does this happen, why are some days so absolutely impossible to live through, why does a day like this keep getting worse.
What is worse, is that this keeps getting repeated for many days, more for some people than others. It is confusing, and we need to know why?
It is not really a Humpty Dumpty syndrome! This is just a joke, I improvised.
Actually, it is the negativity effect. Once we have negative feelings as we start a day, and we keep those negative feelings and vibes, somehow it keeps spreading to everything around us. And, we find that almost everything we come in contact with is affected or we feel it that way.
Humpty Dumpty is just a metaphor to symbolize how we can come apart and pull ourselves together if we rely on our positive feelings.
We let it get to us, negative vibes somehow seem to attract negativity and it affects us and everything we do for as long as we hold onto those negative feelings.
Negative thoughts
Let them go and do something that makes you feel positive and you will find that even if you encounter a problem in the day, it will pass, you will still be calm
Turn negative feelings into positive
and okay with it, and you will deal admirably. It will need you to sort of force yourself to do something that calms you like listening to music or talking to someone.
Here we will give some quotes to these effects.
- The more attention you give to your negative feelings the more they grow, so I think things just start to blow out of proportion. – Gillian Jacobs.
- Happiness is the resultant of the relative strengths of positive and negative feelings rather than an absolute amount of one or the other. – Norman Bradburn
-
Humpty Dumpty Could be put together again.
Wave negative thoughts away gently. Don’t hate them for turning up. They are afraid to die; be sweet to them and they will be on their way. – Emily quotes
- Free your mind and you free yourself. Negative thoughts never helped anyone. – Anon
- To overcome negative feelings, strengthen those that are positive.
To sum it all, be sad, angry, hurt, confused and even stuck. Above all, be kind to yourself and refuse to let negativity trigger you in seeing the normal problems as catastrophes and as such wage a war against yourself.
Adopt a positive attitude, by using anything that calms you, the right attitude can convert a negative stress into a positive one. Try and see!
